Hi all,
Thanks to all TripAdvisors, I have been able to plan our 8 day trip to Paris to a great detail.I have rented a car for one day in Paris and reserved a room at the Chateaux De Oermeaux that same night. The plan it to pick the car at 10:00am near Gare De Lyon, drive to the Loire valley, see at least Chambord,Chenonceaux(forgive the spelling), dine in Amboise and then leave for Paris the next morning.
That being said, could anyone point out a website/book that would show me maps to plan out the actual loire drive?Where to go first, where to go last etc? Also, any suggestions for dinner in Amboise?I have read posts about the Michelin Green Guide to Loire, but wasnt sure.
Looking forward to your replies.
Merci!

I used www.viamichelin.com to plan a very similar trip. You enter the addresses/towns and it shows you detail maps and routes.
I picked up my car at the Louvre(no rail station surcharge), went to Chambord, Chenonceau, Cheverny(not that exciting) and dropped off the car at Tours. That was for 2 nights. The other time I did a same day driving tour and left the Louvre around 10 as well, and managed to come back the same day. Depending on time of the year, the chateau might close pretty early, so not sure if you can do two in one day.
