Can anyone advise as to the rail service between avignon and arles please? Is the service good, regular etc. I%26#39;m not sure whether to hire a car or go by rail.

I don%26#39;t think you want to hire a car for this trip. It takes aboout a half hour to get from point A to point A. (Sorry %26#39;bout that.)
There are probably trains about every half hour or so, and there are also buses.

We took the train to Arles in the morning from Avignon, the train from there to Nimes in the early afternoon, and back to Avignon in the evening from Nimes. It was a wonderful day.
