transportation suggestions

We will be in France from Sept 22 AM for 2 days, flying to Lourds for 1 night stay, back to Paris and transfering to Disney for 2 days then back to Paris for 3 nights. Flight home is Sept 30. Is there a suggested pass we should purchase for transportation?

Don%26#39;t get a pass for the metro. Start out with 2 sets of carnet (20 tickets). That%26#39;ll cost you 20 Euros for 20 tickets. Each ticket is good for each-way Metro transportation in Zone 1 %26amp; 2, which takes you anywhere in Paris. The ticket is even good for taking the tram from the bottom to the top of Sacre Coeur. Buy more carnet as you need. We bought 2 sets of carnet and have 6 leftover after 5 days in Paris.

Buy individual round-trip tickets to travel to Disneyland. Buy the RT tickets at the nearest metro station to your hotel, and that will take care of all your transfers to Disneyland.

Don%26#39;t forget to ask for a Metro map, if you don%26#39;t already have one. Try Metro line #14. It%26#39;s the newest line, and the deepest underground. Very smooth and fast! Has no driver!

Do you mean 2 sets each or two sets total?

You can buy %26quot;carnets%26quot; or books of 10 tickets for inside Paris.

When you are done you buy an other one.

For Disney you have to get a special ticket either from a machine distributor or from a person at the counter. I prefer a person myself as I dislike dealing with machines and their buttons to press.

ziggystardust, start out with 1 set of 10 tickets per person. I was assuming that we will be traveling with 1 companion. Even if there are 3 of you, you can share 2 carnet (20 tickets) and buy more as you need.

Thank you , this is all new to me.

This was all new to me also until a couple of weeks ago. There%26#39;re lots of decisions to be made, such as which pass to get, how man days, etc. I%26#39;m glad we didn%26#39;t get the metro pass, since that wouldn%26#39;t be worth it for us. We were debating about the museum pass also, and ended up with a 3-day pass each, which was totally worth it, especially since you get to go in without lining up or buying tickets.
