What are some of the best days trips to take ?

Could be romantic (going on honeymoon)..or could just be fun and interesting..

Versailles is only a half hour from the Paris city centre and is absolutely breathtaking. It can be a very romantic place to walk, enjoy the gardens and even rent a boat to go out on the manmade lake. The tours of the interior palace are also wonderful, but can sometimes be very crowded. It is a very inexpensive trip - the admission to the palace is 20 Euro for both the interior and garden tours - and is indeed a must-see when visiting Paris.

Chantilly is very romantic, just an hour north of Paris by train from Gare du Nord. I think it is closed on Tuesdays, Versailles closes on Mondays.
