have heard that it is possible to get bad (and expensive!) food in Paris. Can any foodies make suggestions of where to eat in the Marais district please.
Also, looking for accommodation in that region. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help

In Paris, as in any big city, one can have bad and expensive experiences when going to restaurants. Tip: Read the Menu before going into any restaurant; the, no price surprise. In the Marais, for breakfast, I would recommend the %26quot; Pain Quotidien%26quot; right down the street from the %26quot; Hotel du Vieux Marais %26quot; where we usually stay. This hotel is in an excellent location, at fair price for Paris, clean rooms and nice bathrooms, A/C a plus when it is a bit warm, and friendly staff.

I%26#39;m totally agree with le %26quot;Pain Quotidien%26quot; for breakfast or tea time...A great chain...so gooooooood!!
Concerning hotels, I can recommend you in the Latin Quarter, the Hotel Timhotel Jardin des Plantes, mid-range price, 2 stars, very clean, nice staff, some rooms have balconies...A very good deal in this area!
