We are an Australian couple and would like to know of any nice hotels in St Germain du Pres or near Louvre and Opera for up to Euro 187- Can anybody advise??

I am staying at Hotel La Perle the end on August on Rue de Cannettes(sp?) in the 6e- near St. Germain des Pres Blvd. Their website is www.hotellaperle.com and so far they have been very accomodating. It looks adorable and the reviews on TA are all positive-nothing bad. We went through a travel agent and got a superior twin bedded room(a double is too small) for 140 e-I thought that was a good deal. We specifically wanted that area and requested a/c and a place that DOESN%26#39;T allow pets. This fit the bill- I%26#39;ll let you know when we return!

We will be in Paris from October 23 - 29th. We are staying at the Hotel D%26#39;Albe in the Latin Quarter. Check out the reviews on this website as the hotel is centrally located, clean and well recommended. If you are in the area at that time, maybe we could get together for some coffee?

You might want to try the Hotel Ferrandi in Saint Germain (rue du Cherche Midi) or the Hotel Senat near Odeon. I have stayed in both of these hotels and they are very good. I think the Saint Germain neighborhood is a better choice than the either the Louvre or the Opera because there are more restaurant choices in the evening.

Try Hotel Left Bank Saint Germain, nice 3 star hotel near metro stop Odeon...really good deal for this kind of location...I loved it!

Loved the HOtel Mayfair in the Lourve Area and it%26#39;s right about in your price range. It really was a lovely place with wonderful staff.
