Go to Sephora or Marionnaud on the Champs-Elysées or to any of the large department stores.

However, do check the prices before in Germany and compare to what they cost in France.

I believe there are these Douglas discounters in Germany that may be even slightly cheaper.

I always found that the Duty Free shop at CDG upon the day of my departure was the best price.

%26lt;%26lt;I always found that the Duty Free shop at CDG...%26gt;%26gt;

Sure, provided the original poster takes the plane and not the train or car from Germany!

Chanel has its own shop at the Place Vendôme.

Quite so, but then, it%26#39;s not there you%26#39;ll find them discounted.

Anyway, it%26#39;s a piece of cake for germany to compare the prices 1:1, since both countries are on the €. Just make sure to compare the very same item.

Have a look at the Marionnaud stores and compare with Sephora (both are on the Champs-Elysées not too far apart, incidentally).

Prices at Marionnaud for Chanel N° 5, Eau de Toilette, vaporisateur:

50ml 54,2 € which is 1.7 oz, I believe

100ml 77,2 €

BTW, for perfumes/eau de toilette, etc., the 100 ml bottles are always a better deal.

I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;re going to find too much variation in price, as the manufacturer keeps a tight reign on that. I agree that the Duty Free shops are the best. It%26#39;s such an exquisite perfume that you will not find any bargains.

I paid about $130 at the Chanel store on Rue Cambron (sp?) for Chanel 5 as a gift. I bought the largest bottle there. At Sephora, I paid about $75 for a smaller bottle of Coco Chanel. Its about the same price. At the duty-free store in the airport, it was about 40% less. Lesson learned: buy the parfume at the duty-free store.
