I will be visiting the French Riviera on a short trip during September. I will be flying into Nice and need to find the best way to get to St. Tropez. Everybody here mentions hiring a car as the best option. Is there adequate parking available in and around St. Tropez?
If I dont use the car, whats the quickest way? I assumed it would be to get the train to St. Raphael and the bus/boat from there?? Bear in mind there are 2 of us so based on the total cost for 2, is renting a car the cheaper option?

Driving around St-Trop is a bummer IMO. Get a shuttle ride from ATS http://www.a-t-s.net/
or rent a car in advance and pick it up at the airport. But the question is: will you need the car during your stay? If you don%26#39;t move that much in the area, I%26#39;d suggest to book a return ride on the ATS shuttle. Quick, reasonnable rates and very effective (and they speak English...)

Definitely rent a car from the Airport... it is a short stay and you do not want to waist time waiting for buses, trains etc... You will also need a car in St. Tropez to reach the beaches... they are not within walking distance from the town...
With a car you relax more, you can keep your stuff and not worry about schedules and delays...
I have been to St. Tropez 3 times during the last 5 years (July or August) and managed to Park.
