Could you help me find a quiant french town just 20 kms or less from Roissy Airport? Also, a good hotel for overnight stay with a car park. We have a morning flight to catch the following day. Thanks

The problem is that CdG is too close to Paris for the towns to have retained their own character, getting the normal bus (ie a Paris region bus rather than a specific airport bus) you just go through a sort of extended suburb.
Gong north of the airport you could try Senlis or Chantilly but I%26#39;m not sure how you%26#39;d get back to the airport the following morning.

thanks for the suggestion. We have a rented car so we require a car park in the hotel. How far is Senlis or Chantilly from CDG? (by kms) Could you recommend good hotels in those towns?

I would say the drive would be 45 minutes or even a bit less to Chantilly, really nice palace but closed on tuesdays if i recall well.

Chantilly has a big chateau, Senlis is quaint, both about 40km out of Paris so less than that from CdG. That%26#39;s about all I can tell you, try looking searching the %26#39;Ile De France%26#39; forum of this site for more details.

Alternatively, I was going to suggest you spend the day in any of the quaint towns further out and then, at the end of the day drive to one of the airport hotels of a large hotel chain which would be likely to have car accommodation. They can be found on web sites like this one:
http://www.paris-cdg.com/hotels.html
But then I noticed that some of the hotels on this site are all the way out in the Senlis area anyway.
Hope this gives you some ideas. Happy researching.

Hmmm, not sure that that last web was the one I saw ages ago. Some of those hotels are right in Paris.
Of course, they%26#39;re all selling their own product, but if you google something like %26#39;Charles de Gaulle airport hotel%26#39; you will get heaps of hotel websites.
Here%26#39;s another
