Hello
We are on a EURail pass (bought direct and NOT via travel agent) and want to go from Nice to LaSpezia.
There seem to be multiple train stations in Nice and we are having trouble figuring out where we should take the train from.
Is Nice Ville the main station?
Also, would it be advisable to reserve in advance and does anyone have an idea of the cost? Is there a way to reserve the tickets for all of our intended Euro train journeys or does this always have to be done one by one at the station.

Nice Ville is the main station (located on Ave de Thiers FYI).
Reservations are needed only on certain trains (TGV for instance).
I suggest you first check on the SNCF site (www.sncf.com in the TER section), then in the Italian train website Trenitalia. Not only will you get the schedule but you also will get the relevant reservation information.
Or else check on RailEurope and pretend ypu want to buy a ticket from Nice to the Italian city you wanna go. If you have to reserve, the site will tell you.

My daughters and I took that route in June. You leave from Nice Ville station and go to Genoa, where you will most likely have to catch a local train to La Spezia, or to one of the Cinque Terre villages, if that%26#39;s your ultimate destination.
I went up to the station the night before our morning trip and made reservations with no problem. They were around 15 euros, if I remember correctly. I may be wrong about the amount, but I do know that it was very reasonable.
My favorite train schedule site is:

You%26#39;ll enjoy the ride - it follows the coastline. It%26#39;s one of the most scenic I%26#39;ve ever been on,
