I have looked through previous posts, but there is an an overwhelming amount of info....
I am going by myself to Paris for the first time, August 27th to 29th. I still haven%26#39;t booked a hotel yet and am trying to figure out exactly what are the must-sees as well as some of the quirky lesser-known spots, plus where to have fun if you%26#39;re in your 20s. I am so confused at this point...help!!

Jenna..look for a hotel in the 6th near the 5th...given this late date try ratestogo.com..You will be near the Latin Quarter..you can easily walk most everywhere to arr.1-7 and if beyond the subway is great.
