paris for kids

I am sending my wife and daughter along w/ a few friends to paris in the spring of 2006 for a long weekend. it her sweet 16 present instead of a party. Is there a resource or do you know how to plan it so the trip is geared toward teenagers and their needs. I have no idea where to start

At 16 I am sure your daughter has already let you know what sort of things she would enjoy. Is she a shopper? Then of course research where some of the hip stores are. Is she into palaces, then a day trip to the LOire Valley should be planned. Museum buff? And so on and so on.

I am sure that just the chance to wander through the more happening areas ( Latin Quarter) and have a glass of wine with dinner will also be a big hit,

Is this trip a surprise gift?

If not, then get the girls input, since the trip is for them , get them to do the homework and research.

SIGH--- I hope your daughter and friends appreciate how lucky they are to receive such a generous gift!!

First, in order to answer your question, it will be easier if you give some general background info about her. Is she a typical 16 year old? What are her interests?

People ask these kinds of questions alot and it%26#39;s kinda difficult to give you a clear answer. 16 year olds are unique people like you and me. Does she like ballet? Would she like Disney land? Is she a sophisticated 16 year old? Is she an average kid?

Most kids are not really interested in history and museums so don%26#39;t focus on that if she%26#39;s a typical teen. But maybe she will be interested though.

In my opinion and quess, I think she will like the obvious attractions like the Eiffel Tower, Seine River boat tour, etc and the popular things that most tourists gravitate to. Most 16 year old kid%26#39;s best times are not really with their families. It%26#39;s the times with their friends. Friends are typically more fun than family for a lot of 16 year olds. But still, I think the regular tourist places will please a 16 year old and she will defintely have a memorable time and you probably don%26#39;t have to worry. In many ways, kids are easy to please and the fact that they are away from home can be entertaining enough for a kid.
