bonjour de Paris

From the 1st of november, ALL THE HOTELS in Paris have the low season rate. So, don%26#39;t hesitate to ask for this lower rate. I recommend you to stay at the Latin Quarter which is normally cheaper than Saint Germain des Pres. Both areas are near the Seine river, you just will have to go out from your hotel to find many romantic places ! Latin Quarter means Notre Dame de Paris and La Sorbonne within few minuts walk... Means also Ile de la Cite just in front, you just have to cross the Seine river, to see the Sainte Chapelle and to enjoy the old part of Paris called %26#39; Le Marais %26quot;.

Have a nice trip to Paris !

I second the motion on the 5th.

I%26#39;ve stayed in the 5th 4 times.

You also don%26#39;t want to miss the Cluny Museum,

The Rodin Museum, The D%26#39;Orsay Museum and

rue Mouffetard.

Best Wishes

Samdgr8, my husband and I will be in Paris in early November -- our first time, too. A few months ago we purchased a book called Great Sleeps Paris by Sandra Gustafson. The book provides a detailed list of large and small hotels by arrondissement. Many of the hotels have web sites that advertise lower room rates beginning in November. The book also provides helpful hints for the first-time traveler to Paris.

We will stay in the 4th, but the 5th and 6th look attractive too -- with interesting sites convenient by foot, Metro or bus.

We find small neighborhood restaurants more romantic than the larger, fancier ones. If you feel that way, too, there%26#39;s a helpful book called Paris By Bistro: A Guide to Eating Well, by Christine and Dennis Graf. It was published in 2004, so it%26#39;s fairly up to date. Not only does the book review bistros by arrondissement, but gives tips on bistro etiquette, how to order, how to chose wines, etc.

Have a wonderful, romantic trip!

Don%26#39;t know what kind of hotel you are looking for (large? small? expensive? cheap?) but I%26#39;ve recently posted a review of the Hotel Relais St Jacques in Paris 5eme. At the moment my husband and I are renting a flat from www.parisaddress.com (contacts are Xavier, Stephanie, Jacques) in the 6eme for 3 months but we%26#39;ve rented for as little as 2-3 days. Check it out.
