sncf load time

does anyone know how long I should be waiting on the %26quot;transaction in process%26quot; page on the SNCF website? I had found the tickets I wanted...they are less than 60days, and I went through to the purchase screen and waited. The website said %26quot;Transaction in process please wait%26quot; So I did.

I waited 15mins before I gave up and tried it again.

So far I have waited 20 mins...is this normal?

Thanks

I had two similar experiences last week. The second time sncf processed the transaction in 15 minutes, and I received my tickets. The first time I became impatient after 20 minutes, and I gave up. Bon chance!

Let%26#39;s make no mistake about it...the SNCF web site isn%26#39;t on anyone%26#39;s Top 10 list of %26#39;..most user friendly..%26#39;. Your experience of unexplained delays is not at all uncommon. But you need to understand that the SNCF system is one of the largest and most frequently used computer reservations systems in the entire world. In addition to hanlding the %26#39;..traffic..%26#39; for the French National Railways, the system also handles the reservations %26#39;traffic%26#39; for both the EUROSTAR and THALYS high-speed train systems and manages and operates (under contract), the rail reservations systems of a couple of other national railway systems as well. It%26#39;s a VERY busy system...and as such, it gets a LOT of %26#39;hits%26#39; which occasionally slow things down.
