My thanks to a TA member posting on July 23, in which the benefits of the Ambassador card were mentioned. The member stayed at the Le Grand Intercontinental across the street from the Opera.
The benefits seemed to be almost too good to be true. Unless any other hotel chains offer a similar membership card, I plan to buy the Intercontinental Ambassador card for 150 USD before our next trip to Paris. It more than pays for itself the first time it is used.
Do any other TA members know of other hotel cards that offer benefits like the Intercontinental card??

Inter Continental Hotels is the only major hotelchain as far as I know who offers an amenity based programme although it will initially cost you $150. The next year is $100.
I have been a member for many years and rate it as the best hotel loyalty programme. On top of that you also get points in their affiliated Priority Club ( Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn) a additional benefit for people staying in Holiday Inn hotels is that you will be given Platinum status once you buy Ambassador Club.

check Global Hotel Discount Card, they offer a free online membership and an offline card membership for 50€, the card is accepted in 1500+ hotels worldwide, www.globalhoteldiscount.com
