We might need a bit more detail to give you a good answer. There%26#39;s %26quot;exquisite%26quot; in the 200 euros/person range. And there%26#39;s very, very good in the 60 euros/person range. Also, what sort of ambience are you looking for--very formal, intimate, trendy, mostly gay, etc.?

Me too. We are celebrating 17th anniversary this early September in Paris. Truffaut, would you have any recommendation for casual lunch and dining in the Marais for the gay ambiance and also something near the 8th where we stay, please?

We are looking for something special on one night as its my birthday so prob something romantic (not a dry formal atmosphere tho!) and with some of the best food in town even if it is a little expensive!

On the other nights prob something more casual with good food, reasoably priced and lively atmopshere.

If money is no concern I would strongly suggest l%26#39;Espadon at the Ritz.

For more modest budgets Le Train Bleu is quite nice.

Trischulte,

For an inexpensive, but tasty lunch, you might consider Le Petit Picard on rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie. The food is good and the prices are extraordinarily reasonable--it%26#39;s always full of very festive people. Le 3 at the other of end of the same street is very good, if a bit pricier. There%26#39;s also an Algerian restaurant, L%26#39;Arganier, halfway between the two previous restaurants that has good couscous in the evenings and also good lunch specials. Les Maronniers on rue des Archives has superb salads, sandwiches and the like. For dinner, you might like Le Dome du Marais on rue des Francs-Bourgeois. Or if you want to go a little further afield (about a 15 minute walk), I%26#39;d recommend Aux Trois Petits Cochons on rue Tiquetonne.

Spurple,

Likewise, I%26#39;d recommend Aux Trois Petits Cochons. The food is very fresh and excellent (although sometimes the selections are a little heavy on the fish).
