I have read the rave reviews for Hotel Muguet, but how convenient is its location to the major sights, i.e., Louvre, d%26#39;Orsay, etc. I must cancel a reservation at another hotel which is well situated, but has received bum reviews.
I appreciate any feedback.

The hotel is in the 7th near Invalides. It%26#39;s within easy walking distance of several of the museums. You should be able to walk to the Louvre without any problems. Paris is a city built for walking, but just in case, the hotel is also served by the Ecole Militaire and Latour-Maubourg metro stops.

In case you willing to use the buses, the location is top.
Ecole Militaire is a pretty good hub that for.
For the Louvre, you take Nr. 69 on Rue Saint-Dominique, just to give you an example.
The Muguet books up months ahead. So, don%26#39;t wait, if you want a room there.

Musee d%26#39;Orsay and the Rodin would be nice strolls (rough guess, 20 minutes)...the Louvre would be a good bit further but doable.
You can put addresses into the %26#39;itinerary%26#39; of www.mappy.com and find out how many meters/ kilometers in distance and how long it would take to walk (use %26#39;pedestrian%26#39; option)

I stayed at the Hotel Muguet in July and thought it was a great hotel. However, I wouldn%26#39;t try to walk to the Louvre from there. The Eiffel Tower is easily walkable, and so is Les Invalides and the Rodin. It is close to the Ecole Militaire Metro stop and several different bus routes.
