Suggestion for Latin Quarter or St. Germaine...

Based on the review I have read here. Most people suggest to stay in Latin Quarter or St. Germaine areas.

Do you have any great recommendations? Our budget is $150 for my husband and I. It will be our first time in Paris.

2-star: Hotel du College de France

I stayed at Hotel Grandes des Ecole on

my second trip to Paris in 2001.

It was charming, brightly painted with a

lovely private garden area.

Staff weas VERY friendly and helpful.

You are 100 feet from the Contrascarpe

and right by rue Mouffetard. The

Pantheon is several blocks away.

Good metro connections.

I can%26#39;t recommend it more highly.

Two recs too:

Hotel Vendome Saint Germain, in the 5th, 2 star hotel, really nice and calm, in the Latin Qaurter

Hotel Rive Gauche, in the 6th, in Saint des Pres, clean, safe, comfortable, nice staff...

hotel de Fluerie is more than $150us/night- we are staying at Hotel La Perle for $140E but they have cheaper rooms- look it up- all reviews are favorable on TA. Have fun we leave in 2 weeks - can%26#39;t wait!!!!!

I%26#39;ve stayed twice at the Jardin de Cluny. It%26#39;s very close to the Cluny Museum, but on a very quiet side street. Also the Villa des Artistes is a very good hotel close to the Luxumbourg Gardens and the beautiful Montparnasse cemetery. Both these hotels are Best Western and easy to book from the US by Best Western website or on the phone.

We stayed at the BW Hotel Left Bank St. Germain des pres on rue L%26#39;Ancienne Comedie. I think it could be just 140e with continental breakfast. It is close to major sites such as ND Cathedral, Seine River.
