Questions about trip to Villefranche

Well I%26#39;m planning a trip to Villefranche in a year or so. So I%26#39;m starting the planning.

We%26#39;ll be flying into Paris, and probably taking the TGV to Nice, is it convenient to rent a car from there and drive to Villefranche or is their a train from Nice to VIllefranche? Is the train more convenient if we want to hop on it and go to Marseilles? Or is driving around these areas more a pain.

Thank you

I live in Villefranche part of the time and feel that a car is a nuisance more than an advantage. There is a good train service along the coast, with journey times such as Nice Ville 8 mns, Monaco 18 mns, Cannes 50 mns. Recently I needed a car to carry something heavy and there was not one empty parking space in the village. This is unusual but not rare.

A car is only necessary if you want to go inland and, with the standard of driving locally, train and bus are much more relaxing.

Thank you Londonbob for the comments.

Looks like a cute little village to stay in and then take the Train to different destinations for day visits.

Thank you again
