I will be travelling to Nice by train from Paris, is there more than one station in Nice? If so, which one does the Paris train go into? I will be staying at Hotel Suisse in the Couers Saleya area, is it walkable? Will have 2 fairly heavy bags. if not, are taxi%26#39;s easily available? Thanks

There are several including the terminus of the metre gauge Chemins de fer de Provence but Nice Ville is the one you want.
I%26#39;d take a taxi to the hotel - the Cours Saleya is a couple of kilometres from the station - walkable but for preference, not.
Never had a problem finding a cab at the station.

Nice is France i.e. Old Europe. Public means of transportation are excellent. There are buses from the train station to the close vicinity of your hotel. The fare is 1.30 €. Per person. ThereÅ› a hub-and spokes system of buses out from Nice and covering the whole county of Alpes-Maritimes, from the italian border to Cannes/Grasses. For general tourism a few days you typically dont need neither a rental car nor too many taxi rides.
