Nice, France

I%26#39;m going to Nice soon and I%26#39;m totally overwhelmed with all of the information and need help. I need an additional night hotel in Nice and need a recommendation (my current hotel is sold out) I want great location, modern/nice, and reasonable priced w/a great location to the city as it relates to getting to the airport. 2nd dilemma.....I also have a friday and saturdaynight that I will need a hotel I considered using thoes days to stay over in Cannes, St. Tropez, or San Remo. Again, I need suggestions on good places/provinces to stay. I believe that I will take the train to various provinces to get around, but am not adversed to the bus. I will be in the south of france w/a home base in Nice for 9 days (3 days of which I currently do not have a hotel) with this, how would you suggest that I manage my visiting time, from a geographic perspective, with the home base being in Nice. My points of interest are Monaco/Monti Carlo, Cannes, St. Tropez, San Remo, and I am open for other suggestions. I want to maximize my time by not %26quot;crossing%26quot; the region. Any asistance would be greatly appreciated.

In my view, you%26#39;ve stayed tuned to a qustionable wavelenght with all the information. All of he places you mention are nice but not necessarily likes peals on a string, one after the other. My basic idea of spending time on the region is to settle at one place- and stay there. Then, you can contemplate what to do during the day and the one after. Stying at one place longer is also a good start of how to get a convenient accomodation. Admittedly, theres also the migratory option available but then, I would say, above all fully mobile with no advance bookings and full freedom to spend the night wherever it happens to please you at that very moment. St Tropez is very off with regards the other places mentioned in your query. i wouldnt recommend to go there on a day-trip basis. San Remo is reached by train. Its the Cannes-Antibes-Nice-Monaco-Menton line.

One last thing: Public means of transportation are very good in the area. Most do better without a rental car. However, if youŕe adamant about migrating around, then, admittedly, youŕ after all more mpbile in a car. Preferably with A/C.
