We are coming to Paris for a Monday night in September on the Eurostar, staying in Gare du Nord area. We arrive at 4PM and leave at 1 PM next day.
We would like to see the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. What are the best ways of doing this. We thought maybe a night tour and cruise.

Do the Louvre on Monday as it is closed on Tuesdays. Head there straight upon your arrival. You%26#39;re lucky, the museum usually closes at 6pm except on Mondays where it stays open until 9:45. Go on a river cruise after that.
As for the Eiffel tower, you can do it on Tuesday!

Yes, go to the Louvre first... then take a Seine cruise*, which will pass by the illuminated Tour Eiffel... then Tuesday, you can go see the tower ... supposedly, the lines have been quite a long wait to go up so don%26#39;t count on that too much. The nearest metro stop is Bir Hakeim - however you might go straight to Trocadero first as the best photo shot of the tower is from across the Seine, looking over the fountains of Trocadero. Then you can walk over by way of the bridge...
Following that, from the Eiffel, walk over in the 7th to rue Cler and buy some lunch/picnic items that you can take on the train (when you say you are leaving at 1:00, do you mean by train?)...
Also - a time-saver is to buy a few metro tickets while you are on-board the Eurostar, in the bar car.

This is probably the closest one to the Louvre, and check the website for coupons for 2Euro off the cruise (bring the coupon with you).
