Will be arriving Gare de Nord on Eurostar...

...our hotel is Hotel Britannique, near the Chatelet metro stop, what is the easiest way to get to the hotel? Take the M4 line from Gare de Nord to Chatelet. Take the RER B from Gare de Nord to Chatelet/Les Halles. Or take a taxi. We will getting into Gare de Nord at about 10:00PM.

Also, when we depart we are flying out of Charles de Gaulle. Will taking the RER B to the airport be easy, or do you recommend just taking a taxi? Thanks for your opinions and input.

You%26#39;ve already done your homework and you know the best options. It comes down to how much luggage are you carrying and do you want to spring for a cab. If you%26#39;re traveling light, the Metro would probably be the best option. The RER is a straight-shot but it%26#39;s so deep underground, the stairs and escalators may be a bit intimidating. The cab should be less than 10 EUR for two people with 4 bags and you%26#39;ll arrive without stress or error.

A cab is the way to go if you ask me.

Taking the RER is fine and easy. However, you can expect a bit of a walk underground or above ground to your hotel. Be prepared to drag your bags up stairs. Take the Place du Chatelet exit to come out close to your hotel. If you dont you could come out a few blocks away. There are many many exits from the Chatelet station. Have a good map handy.

Taking the RER to the airport will be easy and the fastest way to get there considering where your hotel is. Again be prepared to carry your bags.

Thanks. We are looking forward to our first leisure trip to Paris.

RickCharles,

And I will be interested in your trip-- we are taking the EuroStar from London and I believe it will leave us at the same station--then transfer to our hotel (unknown at this date) and ending with getting to CdG to enplane for return home.

Enjoy your visit-- don%26#39;t forget about a report!

Thanks for your question......

We ended up taking a taxi to the hotel from the train station and then onto the airport at the end of the trip. This decision was simply because of all of the luggage we had (About 4 large bags and 2 small bags). Just too much to get on the metro. We had been in London for 6 days prior to going to Paris.

All in all a great trip. Would highly recommend the Fat Tire Bike tours. Run and guided by Americans. Fun and different way to see the city. Most of the Parisians were pleasant and were eager to help when we had questions.
