Could anyone answer me please

Hi Steplulu, your itinerary sounds fine. The Open Tour Bus costs 25 euro for one day or 28 euro for two days and it%26#39;s worth paying the extra 3 euro, as you will probably not have time to do all tours in one day. One carnet may get you through 2 days (one carnet per person I assume), and will cost around 10 euros 50. If you plan to actually go up the Eiffel Tower make sure you allow plenty of time, as the queues were up to three hours long when we were there last weekend.

We ate at Le Lutetia brasseries on the Ile St Louis and it was very good with a Prix Fixe menu of 23.50 Euros for three courses, the steak was very good as was the Creme Brulee.

Thanks Helking

I don%26#39;t think so we will wait 3 hrs to eiffel tower maybe take some photos nearby. Wait until next time not too many tourist maybe in winter time quite romantic.

I also start to read the paris guide book borrow from library and remember morgan B or cocochanel recommend me the book call time out paris. I should go to buy it later.

They also have a website :)

steplulu,

Glad I could be of help. Dont know of a property agent in the south.

I would skip Rue du Rivoli unless you want tourist t-shirts. Its really uninteresting. I cant remember the dates that you are coming but right now is sale season for Paris for another 2 weeks. I would suggest shopping in the neighborhood between the Bon Marche department store and Blvd Saint Germain on the left bank metro Sevre Babylone. There are many boutiques in the area if you like french brands. Alternately there are the right bank grand magasins Printemps and Galleries Layfayette.

Thanks Morgan B

I think the purpose go to Paris for us are sightseeing, eating, relaxing and feel the local life, not really for shopping but at least like to buy some local things send it to my family in Hong Kong.

We will come the end of August so the sale must finish, never mind.

I have a feeling like often go to France not only Paris. Like when I live in Hong Kong often travel to Thailand because so close and only within 2hrs flight.

Cheers

The only shop that would have been worth seeing on Rue De Rivoli was Samaritaine (if only for the fantastic view from the roof terrace) but alas it is closed at the moment. Hopefully it will be open again in time for next years visit (mine aswell)!

Hi Helking

So which area is your favour shopping. I%26#39;m not keen the designer label.

Like to buy something like using/decorate in the kitchen, crystal small gifts etc..... Cloth shopping might a little bit. I like shoe but I only wear size 3 not very eady find in Europe shop. You know even in UK

|||

I liked Galleries Lafayette and Printemps for department store shopping, if you prefer chain stores then there%26#39;s the Forum Des Halles which is like a Mall, then there are some lovely little shops around the Madelaine church.

Basically, every arrondissement (neighbourhood) has its own shopping streets. Depending on the average people living there, you also find the shops to suit them. It%26#39;s kind of like %26#39;the high streets%26#39; you have in London.

The department stores are convenient, when you don%26#39;t have a lot of time at hand, since most labels can be found in there and you don%26#39;t need to walk a lot. Also, it can be convenient either by rainy or hot weather. My favourite is Le Bon Marche on the Left Bank, mainly because it%26#39;s the most Parisian of all the department stores and not all as touristy as the GL or Le Printemps.

Some popular shopping areas: Saint Germain des Pres, Quartier Latin, the Marais, Rue de Rivoli (lots of junk though), around La Madeleine Church (expensive), Faubourg Saint-Honore (expensive), Champs Elysees (there is also a Monoprix), Avenue Victor Hugo (16th arr., expensive), Rue d%26#39;Alesia (14th) for outlets.
