Hi, my wife, 11 year old son and I are going in late September to Paris for three days. Want to get the pass but don%26#39;t know if I should get it here (and where) or wait to I get to Paris. Any help would be appreciated.

I guess if you wait it will be cheaper. Buy it from a metro station or from an attraction where you don%26#39;t have long lines (Conciergerie has always very short lines so it is a better choice to buy it there than the Ste Chapelle which has longer lines). Remember the orsay, the Louvre and surely many others will be free for your son.

It was super easy to get at a metro station. When you get the card you need to fill out the card with the date you want it to start on the back. So if you get there late at night you can still buy the card in the metro, but fill in the date for the next day. That way you can just get up and go.
It got us ahead of the line everywhere except Versailles, where everyone has to stand in the first line to go through the metal detector.

Since most museums and many attractions are free to those under 18, your 11 year old will not need a CARTE MUSEE et MONUMENTS PASS and may accompany you past ticket lines (but not any security checks) when you use your pass.
