I have tickets on the TGV leaving from Gare de Lyon. What is best way to get from CDG to the train station?

Here is a handy little web site to know, Deb
www.ratp.info/informer/anglais/index.php
Its the English version of the public transport system trip planner.
I just type %26#39;charles de gaulle%26#39; as the %26#39;place of departure and it comes back with several options from which I pick the correct term - Aeroport Roissy, etc etc
Put %26#39;Gare de Lyon%26#39; as the destination.
You can ask it to give you the fastest route or the least walking or bus-only, etc
Personally, if you%26#39;ve just arrived from overseas and the jet lag is kicking in or your bags are heavy, taxi is the easiest and I guess would cost about 40 euro to Gare de Lyon. If there%26#39;s more than one of you the taxi starts becoming a very attractive option.

We took the train from CDG to Gare. It was hot, crowded, and kept stopping in between stops. I%26#39;m assuming because of mechanical problems. It took as an hour an half to get to Gare because of all the problems. I would spend the money on a taxi if I had to do it again, I don%26#39;t think it would have cost that much extra for the 2 of us.

Hi
I always get the Air France bus out of CDG, they are air cond. and have baggage handlers. They run from 7am to 9pm, gare de Lyon station is the first stop on the Montparnasse route. The buses run from both terminal 1 and 2 check the air france web site for timetable, fares and position of stops at airport, if arriving at terminal 3 u need to get the airport shuttle to either terminal 1 or 2, where the shuttle drops u off, is adjacent to the air france bus stop. Using the air france bus means all u have to do is push your trolly to the appropriate exit gate at either terminal 1 or 2 they will be loaded on the bus for u, they will be unloaded at gare de lyon, put on another trolley and into the station. Buses run every 30 mins, takes 15 to 20 mins.

Air France bus is definitely the BEST way !!!!!!

Another vote for Air France bus. However, Ian is a bit optimistic on his time of 15-20 mins. Its more like 30-45 mins and can be longer depending on how many stops you have to make at the airport before you leave and how long it takes to load and unload all the passengers and baggage.
The fastest most comfortable way would be a taxi. Thats what I would do unless my budget was really tight.

Have to agree in some ways with morganb, always get bus from terminal1 as last pick up point, however never taken longer than 1 hour to get to the terminus at either montparnasse or ave carnet and have been using this service for over 10 years. After visiting paris for the last 45 years will now only stay in a hotel if within 10mins walk of a air france bus stop. I know that the beginning and end of my paris visit will be stress free.
