where in Paris?

I will be in Paris at the end of october and would like to know where is better to book an hotel to be right in the center of the life; my mather (65 yo) will be with us, so we prefer to be where shops and restaurants are.......thanks in advance

The first could be great...near Saint Michel area or Ile Saint Louis...There are a lot of restaurants, bars and so on near Saint Michel quarter...That%26#39;s a very animated quarter!

Your mother will possibly like the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area rather than the St. Michel neighbourhood which is known as the students district.

I suggest you look around in the 6th arrondissement. Very lively, plenty of shops and restaurants.

Any price indication?? Whatever, don%26#39;t wait too long. October is pretty busy (fairs, conventions, etc.).
