Has anyone travelled from Nice to Barceona by train?
there is a day time train that stops in Montpellier and an overnight train that stops in Port Bou.
Is it a pretty trip that should be taken in daytime of sleep through it?
Any advice appreciated.

Considering the lenght of this trip I would suggest to do it overnite.

I have done this same trip before... I suggest the night trip, saving your days to more interesting things to do ... and while at it save on hotell...
