Versailles & Giverny in a day trip?

I%26#39;m looking into a day (8 hours) trip to Versailles and Giverny. Will this be enough time to allow at each museum, or should we take 1 day for each museum? Has anyone used Panache Tours? That is the tour company that would be booking our trip. This is our first trip to Paris. Your help would be appreciated.

My pace would be Versailles one day and Giverny on an other day.

Definately, l day each. I wouldn%26#39;t take a tour on either. Gone to both on my own and much more enjoyable, although Giverny requires a bus transfer if memory serves. Versailles is a nice town for strolling after visiting the very crowded museum. (Gardens are much more pleasant)

Just make sure to catch the RER line. You can easily pick this up at many stops along the left bank.( St Michel, d%26#39;Orsay, etc.) This stops nearest the museum. Only about 1/2 hour trip.

Giverny, while small is very nice for a peaceful stroll at your leisure.

Plan one day for each. Versailles can be done on your own by taking the RER %26quot;C%26quot; line.

If you tried two in one day you woulldn%26#39;t do

justice to either or yourself. The gardens

at Versailles are large and you will need

time to explore them.

Giverny is not that large but VERY

crowded; get there early. Go to the

LILY GARDEN first, then the house.

As there are no Monet paintings

at Giverny, I hope you can work

in a visit to the Marmatton Museum

on the outskirts of Paris.

Best Wishes

One day each. Ihave done both in one day as it was plnned this way but with a car ,and still it doesn%26#39;t do justice and it rushes around.

Just to point out that the RER line to Versialles can not be picked up from Austerlitz, St Michel or Orsay at the moment becuase of works finishing shortly though. A shuttle bus runs the route though to Invalides where you can get on the train.
