Family of 4 only 2 days in Paris for 1st time

Family of 4 from Australia with 2 boys 12 %26amp; 7, in Paris for only 2 days in September. Never been to Paris so am very confused as to what is a must to see. Staying at Hotel Chomel (rue Chomel 75007) near SevresBabylone Metro stop. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

Hm... two days is not a lot. But then, I suggest you get a good travel guide book and make a list of what sounds attractive to you. Don%26#39;t feel as if you must see everything in only two days. You just can%26#39;t!

Also, click onto %26#39;attractions%26#39; on this site. Do read descriptions to know what to expect.

BTW, your location is excellent (small pretty quiet street off Blvd. Raspail) for explorations either by metro or walking. You%26#39;ll be next to the department store Le Bon Marché (don%26#39;t mis the food halls called %26#39;La Grande Epicerie) and to Sèvres-Babylone métro stop. You can walk over to Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Quartier Latin, but also over to the Right bank.

Pack comfortable shoes and enjoy your first visit!

like CoCo, I think your location is great. I%26#39;d just walk around your neighborhood- checking out St. Germain-des-Pres and enjoying the nearby cafes and neighborhood ambiance. I%26#39;d let your kids pick from the list of %26quot;must-sees%26quot; after that- if they want to see the Eiffel Tower, the #87 bus will take you there in a very pleasant fashion- but try to discourage them from going to the top unless you go really early- it%26#39;s fun to just walk around underneath- then cross the river behind and check out the scene at the Trocadero- the Bateaux mouches or the Batobus have stops right there for some river cruising- that%26#39;s especially good to do at night after dinner- the lights are lovely.

Here%26#39;s what my kids enjoyed- (boys 10 and 15)

The top floor of the Musee D%26#39;orsay (greatest hits of impressionism)

Notre Dame-(go EARLY, do climb the tower)

the Cluny-

the Louvre- (open late Wednesday and Friday- if you%26#39;re there on one of those days take advantage- crowds are much more maneagable)

the Musee Picasso

the Saint-Chappelle

the Sacre Couer

with 2 days you cannot possibly see it all- so you can relax and really enjoy what you do see. You didn%26#39;t tell us the age of your kids- but if they have arrived at the age of reason, I%26#39;d let them pick (from a list that YOU make)- since nothing is any fun with bored children along.

oops- you DID give us your kids%26#39; ages- sorry to not be paying attention!

you%26#39;re going to have fun.

Thanks for your comments - it%26#39;s really comforting to know that you both think the hotel is a good location! That%26#39;s one worry out of the way. Thanks again.
