Lodging in Normandy for a family of 5

I am planning to visit the Normandy area, specifically the D-Day beaches and other sites during mid August. Are there any hotels in the area that offer suites for families or adjoining rooms. There are 5 people in my family, and it is difficult to find accomodations for 5. Myself, wife, kids 14,5,2.

I stayed at a really beautiful country manor, Le Manoir de Juganville only 10 minutes from Utah beach, they have 3 large rooms, friendly family run establishment (B%26amp;B). The rooms, and in fact, the whole house is beautifully furnished with a large garden. Really the nicest place that I have have ever stayed in. try their website www.juganville.com

Hi,

Just got back from Ferme de Pressoire B and B. They have a small cottage where you could rent two rooms next to each other. They also have a large blue room in the main house with two queen beds and a single, but it could be tough sharing the tiny bath with every one.

It is in the country but close to the D-Day Sights. Very well priced with a terrific owner.

Have fun

I too was at La Ferme de Pressoir. It was the nicest B and B that I have ever stayed at. The Gite is a converted Sheep Barn with a kitchen sitting/eating area and three bedrooms. Odile is the nicest lady. She speaks very little English, but with the little French that I have we managed to have some great conversations. She even took my son for a walk around the working part of the farm and he gathered eggs for breakfast the following morning. I would highly recommend this B and B

www.bandbnormandie.com/pages/1/index.htm Is her web site. It is a little drive to the beaches. about 20 minutes to the Canadian beaches (I did not travel to the American beaches) But worth the drive. The village that is nearby is Villers Bocage. It is a cute village with some restaurants and a great Marche to buy groceries for your picnic lunch.
