Vietnamese Restaurant

I heard that Vietnamese cusine is superb in Paris. Any good suggestions?

For the best choice of Asian food (e.g. Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai) go to the 13th district which is considered the %26quot;Chinatown%26quot; area. I find it%26#39;s better there although you can get some Asian places in the 5th district too.

I%26#39;ve heard that Vietnamese cusine is superb in Australia actually :)

The problem in Paris can be finding a %26#39;true%26#39; Vietnamese place that isn%26#39;t a mix of Viet/Chinese/Thai....

Kim Anh in the 15th- It%26#39;s expensive for a Vietnamese restaurant, laid back, and small (10 or so tables)- but in my opinion it has the best Vietnamese food in Paris...Dinner for two will run between 100-150 euros...maybe less depending on the wine etc... The food is subtle and devine....don%26#39;t miss it especially if you are after top quality.......

Au Bambou in the 13th is one of the best in the city. The place is full of Vietnamese locals and the food is great, but the line is usually out the door.

I was in Paris in May of this year. After the first few days of our stay and eating lots of French food, we actually craved Vietnamese food.

So, we discovered in our Lonely Planet travel guide a Vietnamese restaurant in the Latin Quarter. Its called, %26quot;Le Foyer du Vietnam%26quot;. They only have a small sign on the door which is not very noticeable, so you have to look out for it.

80 rue Monge;

The selection is small but the Pho %26amp; rice was delicious.... we went back a couple days later. There%26#39;s another one close by on rue Monge (but I can%26#39;t remember the name) which was not as good.

Bon Appetit!

Phread: Do you have the address to Au Bambou. I%26#39;m keen to pay a visit.

Thanks

Kambodgia is really good. It%26#39;s in the 16th on the rue Bassano. Not too expensive.
