Seine Dinner Cruise?

As it is our 1st Wedding Anniversary i wanted to book something romantic.

Has anyone been on the 4 hour Dinner cruise? Was it good?

It is fun to get dressed up and go on this cruise. As others have said the food is not great. But the ambiance is very nice. I only wish they would ban smoking.

We%26#39;ve done these dinner-cruises twice over the years and found them to be very pleasant evenings. Bear in mind that no one takes these dinner cruises for their budget price or great food. The %26#39;..smart money..%26#39; has dinner ashore at a better restaurant and then takes an ordinary, one-hour Seine sightseeing cruise afterward. But sometimes it%26#39;s about more than the food or the cost....it%26#39;s about the %26#39;..experience..%26#39;. Even an infifferent champagne will taste a great deal better when the view above the rim of your flute is the illuminated south facade of Notre Dame or a %26#39;twinkling%26#39; Eiffel Tower as you glide by.

Is there dancing as i wanted something quite old fashioned where you dance. : )

There was a jazz type combo playing on our cruise and a few couples were dancing. If you watch the old Carey Grant Audrey Hepburn movie %26quot;Charades%26#39; there are some great scenes filmed on a dinner cruise. Very romantic.

Which cruise did you book? Was it by candel light?

I don%26#39;t know if my spelling is correct but I believe it is called Bateau Mooches. I don%26#39;t remember if it was candlelight. It has been 6 years since we went.

Most of the larger dinner cruise boats have some form of music/entertainment and a space for dancing. I don%26#39;t recall candle on the tables of either the Bateaux Mouches or Bateaux Parisien...but lighting was subdued to enhance the mood and improve the view through the windows.
