Monaco long term accommodation - any tips

I am planning on staying in Monaco for 3 months next spring, and I wondered if anyone had any tips on where to stay, I want an apartment, but money is on the tight side, so I am not looking for a milllion euro luxury place. I am thinking I will have to stay outside of Monaco and travel in, has anyone had any experience of staying longer term, renting out an apartment or even house sitting? Does anyone know whether it%26#39;s possible to get short term work in Monaco?

Real estate in Monaco is VERY expensive. You typically buy there in order to have an address there and to live there, not for lease purposes. Many people with ordinary incomes, the ones paid there for ordinary jobs, cannot afford to live there. Thousands live in e.g. Nice, commuting daily to their workplaces in Monaco. This, in itself, is not a big deal as the train ride is a matter of some 20 minutes. In terms of sheer communication, you can regard Monaco as a suburb of Nice.
