I am planning a special trip to Paris and want a hotel that is not only deluxe, but also maintains its Parisian charm.
Merci

Go to the Ritz. It has plenty of charm and elegance.

That is a very tricky question.. because with the prices you pay your expectations a really high... if you browse through the reviews you find the good, the neutral, and the ugly for some of these hotels...
The Ritz is nice... however hotels such as the Georges V and Prince De Galles may have a better location... The Crillon is worth checking so would the Meurice

First of all, there are no %26quot;5-star%26quot; hotels in Paris. There are 1 star, 2 star, 3 star, 4 star and %26quot;4-star luxe%26quot; hotels (and I guess there are some %26quot;no star%26quot; hotels too).
From my experience, the best of the 4-star luxe are the Ritz, the Lotti, and the Meurice.

Try the Hotel de Vendome.

I would probably pick the Four Seasons. But if I could afford it this would be my pick for the ultimate Paris getaway:
I once saw on the Travel Channel this is a great suite at the Hotel Meurice and it has the BEST bathroom in Paris. The bathroom itself is huge with big windows and you get a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower that you can see while taking a bath. To me, that%26#39;s a room with real Paris charm baby.

Not all of the well known palaces are 4star Luxe hotels by french standards, but that%26#39;s indifferent because till last year the Villa Beaumarchais was rated as one of them.
The 4Star luxe hotels in Paris are:
L%26#39;Hotel(great atmosphere ,nice rooms, if you want spaciousness go for a deluxe and up)
www.slh.com
Plaza Athenee(upscale location, spacious rooms, not so charming though, one of the best hotels in Paris)
www.lhw.com
Ritz Paris(very convenient location, one of the world renowned palaces, some people say it%26#39;s a bit stuffy)
Scribe Paris(not quite as good as the others, the Scribe offers good accomodation and value. The suites-which are very spacious and nicely furnished- may cost the same amount of money as a classic room in the others)
www.sofitel.com
Hotel De Vendome(nice , well located boutique hotel with large rooms)

Some other hotels that are among the best in Paris:
Meurice(very nice, spacious rooms, very convinient location, nice view from some rooms)
www.lhw.com
Hotel De Crillon(very classic, well located and spacious rooms with all the amenities)
www.lhw.com
Hotel Lancaster(a boutique hotel just off Champs Elysees, some rooms are small, the service is good
www.lhw.com
Hotel Raphael(another boutique hotel with spacious rooms and low rates and is situated a block from the Arc De Triomphe, the rooftop teracce offers great views over Paris)
www.lhw.com
Hotel Bristol(located in one of the most fashionable streets in paris the Bristol has efficient service and large rooms-although from the pictures i saw on TA i did not like their style especially if you pay around 1000euros a night)
www.lhw.com
Hotel George V(One of the best in Paris and in the World, the George V offers large guest rooms, good location and an excellent service)

If you really want a deluxe hotel try the Crillon or the
Meurice, both are fabulously French although I think the Crillon has the edge, especially if you can book a room overlooking the Place de la Concorde. George V is beautiful but its location is not as interesting. It depends on what you%26#39;re looking for!
Bon chance.

The Crillon is probably the most %26quot;Parisian%26quot;
