We%26#39;ve decided to rent a car and spend a day in Champagne. Does anyone have any restaurants to recommend in that area?
If you%26#39;ve been, what were your favorite Champagne houses?

Chrisma,
We spent a weekend in the Champagne region in March. We really wanted to tour Veuve Clicquot, but they have odd hours and we never made it. We did tour a small champagne house in the country (we stayed in a b%26amp;b outside of Epernay). I can%26#39;t think of what it was called offhand, but there was this beautiful chateau on the grounds that the actual Veuve Clicquot built for her son! Anyway, we spent some time in Reims but we really liked Epernay better. We wanted to tour one of the big houses, so since it%26#39;s right there in Epernay we went to Moet %26amp; Chandon. It was fun...kind of touristy compared to the small place, but the tour was entertaining.
We asked the tour guide to recommend a nice restaurant in Epernay (we are total foodies). She recommended Les Berceaux. It was really really good. On the expensive side...not outrageous, but certainly not cheap (I can%26#39;t remember the price range - perhaps my brain was fried from all the champagne! :) But the food and wine were awesome. It was one of our best meals in France.
Hope that helps - enjoy!!

Don%26#39;t miss this one- even if you go in just for a look-and-see....
Used to be one of the top 5 restaurants in France....Boyer retired but it has been put into very capable hands..... 2 or 3 of the most unusual and amazing meals I have ever had were here......and the setting is great especially in the summer, when you can sit outside on their patio.

Thanks for the great information.
Sistereurope - I will look up the restaurant. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.
WRB - This sounds delicious too! I%26#39;ll let you both know which one we decided to try, but it sounds like we can take a peak at both of them.

WRB...yes, we had thought about going there too. We had heard a lot about Boyer, but it was the end of our trip and we really didn%26#39;t want to run that credit card bill up too much further! Maybe next time...
Chrisma - here%26#39;s a link to Les Berceaux
